2026 Summer Institute for Diversity in Philosophy (https://summerphil.vercel.app/): A transformative week dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusion in philosophy through mentorship, community, and learning.
This year's summer institute, held in early July at the Rutgers Inn and Conference Center, was a big success! Our undergraduate participants included 18 students from diverse backgrounds and from colleges all over the country (Alabama, California, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington). We had research presentations from distinguished faculty speakers from Georgetown, Michigan, Princeton, Rice, Rutgers, and Yale, as well as mentoring sessions with 8 graduate student mentors, some of whom were previous institute participants. Thanks to Mercedes Díaz and Carolina Sartorio for putting this remarkable experience together!
