• Bruce Wilshire

Bruce Wilshire was a professor in the department from 1969-2009. Beginning as a specialist in William James, he became known for his work on philosophy and theater, his criticisms of analytic philosophy, and his interest in Native American philosophy. He headed the American Philosophical Association’s Committee on Pluralism in the 1970s and 1980s.
