B.A. Rutgers University, Comparative Literature, Women & Gender Studies.
I began working for the Philosophy Department in late 1999 as a clerical assistant. In September 2000, I was hired as the undergraduate secretary for the Philosophy Undergraduate Program. I worked in that position for seven years. Then in August 2008, I was promoted to Graduate Program Administrator of the Philosophy PhD Program. I have assisted Dr. Howard McGary with the Summer Institute for Diversity in Philosophy since 2000. I am also the advisor to the Rutgers Philosophy Undergraduate Club and our Philosophy Honors Society, Phi Sigma Tau (NJ-Theta Chapter). My interests range from writing poetry and film to belly dancing & kick boxing. I am currently working on a paper on Gender and Politics in relation to cyborgs in popular culture.
Prior to joining Rutgers University, I worked for CH2M HILL, a global engineering and design firm, as the administrative lead for large engineering projects. I received a BSBA from Monmouth University; my first two years of undergraduate studies were spent at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, where I received a scholarship to major in the Classics. Some of my numerous interests include travel, especially to Italy (Sicily in particular), family genealogical research, cooking, gardening, reading and knitting.
