  • Feminist Philosophy Reading Group (Carolina Flores & Dee Payton)

    Meeting: Tuesdays 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Flexspace

    We meet weekly to discuss papers in feminist philosophy, primarily in the analytic tradition. In addition, we run work-in-progress sessions where we give each other feedback on our work. And we also host 2-4 visiting speakers a semester. Past speakers include Sally Haslanger (MIT), Miranda Fricker (CUNY), Rachel Fraser (Oxford), and Esa Diaz-Leon (Barcelona).

  • Rutgers Center for the Philosophy of Religion Reading Group (Laura Callahan)

    Meeting: Wednesdays 4:20 PM - 6:00 PM, 3rd Floor Gateway-RU Press

    The Rutgers Center for the Philosophy of Religion hosts a weekly reading group to discuss recent work in the philosophy of religion. Visitors to the reading group have included Bryan Frances (Fordham), Steve Wykstra (Calvin), William Lane Craig (Talbot), and Eleonore Stump (St. Louis University). Topics covered in recent readings have included the problem of evil, disagreement, skeptical theism, and the relationship between theism and modality.

    After each meeting, all are invited to happy hour and dinner at Destination Dogs (though each must pay for their own fare).
